Bad dogs!

We used to close the bedroom door in order to keep the dogs off the bed.

I actually accused Byrd of forgetting to close the door on multiple occasions when we would come home to find the dogs on the bed. He always swore innocence.

Then it happened to me. And I was sure I had closed the bedroom door!

Time for a sting operation!

Quizz has been opening doors for years. In fact he opens our neighbors back door to let his friend Maddie out and to make sure there is nothing worthy of his attention. Too bad he hasn't learned how to close the doors. sigh.

Dozer and Star certainly looked guilty in their video! :)

What is worse than having bad dogs is having, clever, bad dogs. And that is exactly what you have!!

This is why dogs should be running the world! They are waaaay smarter than us. However I have to admit that not only do we allow it, but we encourage our pitty to sleep with us. Without the power of electricity he makes a wonderful heating pad!

funny, but the dog doesn't seem to be comfy with the choice. my dog would have been full horizontal and snoring!

This is SO good--the captions, the music, etc. Reminds me of hilarious the "Rules for Dogs" I read once. It starts out, "OK, we can have a dog, but he has to sleep his doghouse," progresses through various steps to "OK, the dog can sleep in our bedroom, but on the floor," and ends up with, "OK, the dog can sleep under the covers."

That is outrageously funny. Love that you caught them red handed and equally culpable no less.. Video is awesome too.

Outstanding! Toni actually let herself into the bedroom once but then accidentally got stuck when it closed behind her. She has claustrophobia.

Luckily we were planning to refinish the door anyway.

I clipped the video, but over the 30 minutes I was gone, Dozer jumped on and off the bed about four times. It was like he knew he shouldn't be up there. (Star, by contrast, obviously felt no guilt whatsoever--she curled up off camera and didn't budge.)

This is a new behavior that Dozer has developed (and Star just follows along), probably because we can't crate him anymore. So we're still trying to decide how to deal with it. It's not really a big deal--they don't do any damage or anything--but Dozer sheds SO MUCH, more than a real "pit bull" because he has Lab fur, and I really don't like sleeping in his dog fur. It gets on my pillow and in my mouth. Blargh! :/

This is such a tremendous video. I was already loving your blog, but then I stumbled upon this video and my jaw dropped. Amazing!

We used to live in Austin (and hope to again someday) -- I adopted my dear sweet ambull mix Chick at TLAC. We now live in DC and pine after the Central Texas sky.
