They're a type of herding/cattle dog and can be very high-energy (check), independent (check), territorial (check), and intelligent (hmmm). Titan is a little unusual for a blue heeler because he's actually ALL blue (blue merle, to be exact), whereas most blue heelers have a bit of tan or red on their chest and legs at the very least.

By some bizarre twist, my grandma has a Blue Heeler/pit bull mix hearing aid service dog.happypitbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03607831951903607541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25149175.post-91636447406987061012008-11-23T11:55:00.000-06:002008-11-23T11:55:00.000-06:00Wow you have your hands full. I've only gotten one lead for Titan, but they aren't even going to be ready to look at him until December because they are in the process of moving.

More discouraging, though, is that today I learned that Titan seems to have fear-based human aggression. (That's what happens when you don't socialize a dog for the first seven months of its life, folks!) So I am not even sure he is a dog that can be rehomed. I am probably going to get him evaluated by a professional if his behavior toward strangers doesn't improve with some careful attempts at socialization.happypitbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03607831951903607541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25149175.post-36105540177207955162008-11-20T09:59:00.000-06:002008-11-20T09:59:00.000-06:00Yikes, things sound busy and stressful at the mome...Yikes, things sound busy and stressful at the moment!
